They emerge from mist and myth—barefoot spirits of the forest, fierce and free.
Samodiva - surdce dance collective’s premiere show, inspired by the Bulgarian mythical female figures of the samodivas, through the imagination of Marchela-Vasilena Merchant.
Samodiva awakens the ancient tales of the Balkan wild women: guardians of nature, shape-shifters of fate, voices of forgotten power. In this living ritual of movement and presence, time bends, and the lines between performer and witness dissolve.
You are not just an observer—you are part of the spell.
Wander through a world of shifting symbols and quiet encounters, where stories drift in fragments and touch arrives like a secret.
This is dance as invocation. Myth as a mirror.
